Within the framework of the 14th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Forum on Cooperation between Central Asia and the Republic of Korea, a working meeting on cooperation in the field of forestry was held. The session was attended by specialists and representatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, presentations and reports on cooperation between Central Asian countries and the Korean Forest Service were presented on the implementation of initiatives in the field of forestry. The meeting was also attended by specialists from the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Center for Biodiversity and Biosafety and the National Center for Action on Environmental Protection of the Committee. In accordance with the powers and scope of activity, proposals were presented for further cooperation in the field of studying the biodiversity of forest ecosystems in Tajikistan, issues of strengthening the capacity of forestry specialists, carrying out activities to restore and preserve forest ecosystems, increasing the potential of young specialists from among students, raising awareness of the country's population and other priority areas for the development and sustainable management of forest ecosystems.
