On March 24, 2022, the Plenary session began to discuss the Review of the effectiveness of processes under the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Protocols, chaired by the Secretariat, Ms. Charlotte Sorkvist.

At the plenary session, the submitted documents on the effectiveness of the implementation of the Convention and its protocols were discussed, the participating countries presented a number of proposals and recommendations for improving the implementation of the convention and its protocols in a pandemic and holding virtual and hybrid meetings.

The delegation of Tajikistan proposed holding personal and face-to-face meetings, as they are more effective than on-line for the implementation of the objectives of the Convention and its protocols, taking into account the geographical and time frames of the meetings.
